CH: Laundry

Providing clean linen is a fundamental requirement of care.

Linen can become soiled with blood, urine, faeces or other body fluids containing micro-organisms (germs). Therefore, when handling laundry, care should be taken to reduce the risk of spreading infection.

A downloadable Community Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) Guidance document which can be adopted as a Policy by your organisation is available below.  Alternatively, a complete set of IPC Guidance documents are available to purchase @ £69.99 – details can be found on the flyer and resource order form.
