These resources have been developed to help minimise infections associated with indwelling urinary catheters.
We have produced a ‘My Catheter Passport 3rd Edition’ (March 2021), to ensure catheterised service users receive the optimum standard of care by improving communication between hospital, community and the service user. This 44 page A6 Catheter Passport contains three sections:
- Advice and guidance for service users
- Advice and guidance for healthcare workers on the management of urinary catheters
- A section for completion by healthcare workers to record the service user’s catheterisation history and MRSA positive results
The Catheter Passport also contains medical alerts notices for MRSA to help with antibiotic prophylactic prescribing. Full details available on the flyer and order form below.
A downloadable Community Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) Policy which can be adopted by your organisation is available below. Alternatively, a complete set of IPC Guidance documents is available to purchase @ £69.99 – details can be found on the flyer and resource order form.
