This Audit Tool is designed to provide assurance that the Policies and practices relating to the 10 ‘Standard infection control precautions’ (SICPs) are being implemented and adhered to. This is in line with the requirements set out in the Health and Social Care Act 2008: code of practice on the prevention and control of infections and related guidance (Department of Health and Social Care, December 2022) and will support General Practices to meet the Care Quality Commission (CQC) registration requirements for infection prevention and control, including cleanliness.
